Gastrointestinal
Our gastroenterologists can help you learn about digestive diseases, diagnoses, and effective treatment options.
Gastroenterology concentrates on the diagnosis and treatment of digestive diseases involving the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, and large intestine (colon), liver, gallbladder, and pancreas. Our gastroenterologists are board-certified and highly skilled specialists dedicated to providing the best inpatient and outpatient care.
Our Gastroenterologists will evaluate and treat many types of digestive problems ranging from severe to simple but sensitive in nature, including:
- GERD/Acid Reflux
- Crohn’s Disease
- Ulcerative Colitis
- Colon Cancer
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome
- Celiac Disease
- Constipation/Diarrhea
- Swallowing Disorders
- EGD
- Colonoscopy
- Liver Biopsy
- Sigmoidoscopy
The American Cancer Society recently changed its recommended age for first colon screening for average-risk patients from 50 to 45. This change was made, in large part, because of the rise in colorectal incidence rates in a younger population over the last few years.
